FHE

Tonight we learned about President Thomas S. Monson. We read the 6th Article of Faith, "We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth". Then, we put together a puzzle made out of a photo of him with different interesting facts on each puzzle piece and sang "Follow the Prophet". We then watched his segment in the video "Special Witnesses of Christ" and for our activity we played "Fishing for Nephites" (an LDS version of Go Fish).

I want to know the facts you used, and yes, it is so I can steal your idea... one of the facts HAS to be his favorite dessert, right? ;o) And what color ARE his eyes?

Here are the facts I used...I found most of them online, but knew some of them from previous interviews too.

- Born in Salt Lake City on Aug. 21 1927
- Love Ice Cream
- Was in the Navy
- Called as the Prophet in 2008
- Is a University of Utah Ute
- Has 3 children
- Married Frances Beverly Johnson on Oct. 7 1948 in the SLC Temple
- Ordained an Apostle at age 36!
- Loves to teach with stories
